Kishi painter. Lived in Kyoto~ Son and pupil of Kishi Ganku. In 1809, with his father to Kanazawa, spending a year there in work on the painting for the new Kanazawa Castle. Later given title of Echizen no Kami. Painted landscapes, kachoga, and animals, especially tigers. With his brother Renzan kept alive the painting tradition of his father. -- Roberts, L.
